International Workshop on "Regional Competitiveness and International Factor Movements" will be held on 17-18 March 2011, inOrléans (France). The conference is jointly organised by International Network for Economic Research (INFER) and Laboratoire d’Economie d’Orléans (LEO).

This workshop provides an opportunity for all those interested in international factors movements and regional competitiveness to discuss their research and to exchange ideas. Researchers are invited to submit both empirical and theoretical papers that are broadly consistent with the workshop’s special theme.

Topics to be discussed during the workshop might include (but are not limited to):

• Clusters and regional policies;
• Countries and regions in transformation and restructuring;
• Human capital, productivity and competitiveness;
• Capital movements and knowledge flows;
• Innovation and regional inequalities;
• Institutions, social protection and regional development;
• Location choices of multinational firms;
• Migration and regional integration.
  

The workshop is open to anybody involved in these research areas, including both young and experienced researchers, Ph.D. students, post-doctoral researchers and professionals from business, government and non-governmental institutions.

The workshop will be held at the faculty of Droit, Economie et Gestion of the University of Orléans.

Submissions of full papers (pdf files in English only) are expected for December 15, 2010 to the folowing address: infer@univ-orleans.fr

Final decision will be announced by January 31, 2011.
